Henri and Theo don't accept Edda's suggestion to have a trio relation. Carla and Torben talk about it. Analena tells Henri and Theo that they are young and have nothing to lose. Carla thinks that Henri's special dish is under his worth; she suspects him of having problems. Torben and Hannes think that a trio relation functions when everybody sticks to the rules but that's not Theo's way. Henri's new dish is too exclusive for Carla. She gives Henri another chance. He talks with Eliane about the situation with Edda. Theo and Henri tell Edda that they want to try the trio relation. Merle thinks Volker has gone to arrange the sale of his firm. Stefan demands Volker to accept the job as administrative manager in the hospital. But Volker hears from Thomas and Britta that the job has gone to Henrich. Britta is astonished that Thomas asked Volker first. She tells Volker she needs someone with experience in the branch.

Kostja, the German-Russian, and Beatrice, the German-African, have a big argument at night. Beatrice leaves the apartment and leaves Kostja behind with the baby, reinventing herself as an architect and psychologist, as an actress and screenwriter, while Kostja, the bicycle messenger, tries in vain to find somewhere to put his child. At some point he loses it. All three experience their odyssey through a Berlin summer day.
